Parang Lais is a traditional blade from South Kalimantan, long associated with the Banjar Sultanate. Recognizable by its slender, elegantly curved profile, the Parang Lais was historically valued as both a practical tool for navigating dense forests and a dependable weapon in times of conflict. Its design emphasizes agility and precision, with a blade that tapers gradually and a handle often crafted from local hardwood or horn. More than just a utilitarian object, the Parang Lais carries cultural significance, reflecting the craftsmanship, environment, and traditions of the people who forged and used it across generations.

The handle is made from bamboo's root providing light and strong material needed for parang's handle, lais is my favourite form of parang, you handle it, and i can 100% sure you will fall in love with it, weight heavy on front yet very light and agile, both for gardening tools or as a weapon!
